#1 on our list is the Infamous Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill – In Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill teaches what called the thirteen steps to riches. Those thirteen steps, he claimed, were the secret to building wealth. This book is a classic and for good reason. Over the past 80 years, many successful people have read this book and gained from its knowledge and insight that have helped them to achieve their own success. When a self-improvement book sticks around for as long as this one has, there has to be a reason for its longevity and success.
#2 is the Outliers The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell – Outliers takes a scientific look at what it actually takes to achieve success. Unlike some of the other books on this list, it does not give a specific list of the things you need to do to achieve success.
#3 is How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie – Just like the previous entry, “Think and Grow Rich” Carnegie’s book is another classic from the 1930s that still packs a ton of truth bombs in its nearly 90-year-old pages. While T&GR was about the principles of success, Carnegie discusses the personal habits that lead to success. Included are the twelve ways to convert people to your way of thinking, six ways to make people like you, and the nine ways to change people’s opinions without arousing resentment.
#4 is The Success Principles by Jack Canfield – If you are looking for a single self-help book that gives you a ton of great ideas on how to improve your life and your success, this would be the one. However, die-hard personal development fans may find some of these ideas to be rehashed versions of ideas they have heard before, not fresh new ideas. The principles are repeated here due to the simple fact that they work! Even if you know all 65 principles before buying the book, I believe it can be an excellent refresher on things you need to do to achieve the success you desire.
#5 is Go Pro! by Eric Worre – Over twenty years ago, Worre began focusing on developing the skills to become a network marketing expert. He shares his wisdom in a guide that will ignite your passion for this profession and help you make the decision to create the life of your dreams. He shows you how to find prospects, present your product, help them become customers or distributors, and much more. It’s a very good read which can easily be replaced with any of the books above.
#6 is Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T Kiyosaki – The ideas presented inRich Dad, Poor Dadaren’t particularly profound or fancy, but the concepts were entirely new to me. This is especially true of how the book taught me to think of money not as an end-goal, but as a tool for wealth creation. Up until that point, I had thought that all I needed to do was to find the right job and I’d be set. Well, that changed after reading this book. Haha
#7 is Hypnotic Writing by Joe Vitale – The principles of hypnosis, when applied to copywriting, add a new spin to selling. Joe Vitale has taken hypnotic words to set the perfect sales environment and then shows us how to use those words to motivate a prospect to take the action you want. This is truly a new and effective approach to copywriting, which I strongly recommend you learn. It’s pure genius.”
#8 on our list is 48 Laws of Powerby Robert Green – The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene is a modern day classic. It’s for people who aspire to achieve power or maintain their current power status. First published in 1998, its available in 24 different languages and has gone on to sell over 1.2 million copies in the U.S. alone and many more around the world. Although Greene has published another four bestselling books since The 48 Laws of Power, it remains his opus magnum. It’s one of my favourites. The knowledge from this book can be applied in all major aspects of life, including Marketing.
And that’s it for me. I sincerely believe if you work on your self-development, there’s no limit to what you can achieve in life; be it Network Marketing or any other field. Readers are leaders they say. Be sure to check my blog regularly as I am going to drop download links to some of the books here. The links will include the pdfs as well as the audio books. So make sure you bookmark us.
Leave a comment to recommend some of your favourite books, I might read them and maybe add them here as well.
